Rosko Re-Elected to Firemen's Home Board

North Sea volunteer firefighter will serve another five years as trustee of health care facility.

A local firefighter has been re-elected to the board of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York Firemen’s Home, a residential health care facility in Hudson for retired volunteer firefighters.

Ted Rosko Jr.'s re-election was unanimous during the recent firefighter convention in Syracuse, according to FASNY, earning him a second five-year term.

He has been both an assistant chief and chief during his 33-plus years with the , and received the department's Firefighter of the Year award in 1986-87.

Rosko has been a member of FASNY since 1993. He joined the Fire Chiefs Committee in 2000 and served as chairman for a time, before stepping down five years ago to become a home trustee.

In addition to FASNY, Rosko is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs; National Fire Academy Alumni Association; New York State Association of Fire Chiefs and Southern New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association. Locally, he is a member of the Suffolk County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, of which he was president from 2007 to 2008; Suffolk County Firefighters Emerald Society; Southampton Town Fire Chiefs Council; and the .
