Report: Contractor Assaulted by Skateboarder

Man says he was hit in the head with a skateboard in Sagaponack.

A contractor took a whack to the head after he approached three skateboarders who ruined a brand new tennis court in Sagaponack, according to an incident report.

The report states that the contractor approached three young adults, between the ages of 17 and 20, who were skateboarding on a newly finished tennis court at a property on Merchants Path. He told police that one of the skateboarders hit him with a skateboard before the trio ran into the woods.

The man tried to run after them, but could not catch up and called police, according to the incident report. The skateboarders were not apprehended.

The man suffered great pain and a lump on his head, the report states. There was approximately $10,000 in damage to the tennis court.

The trio left behind a cup and a skateboard, according to the report.
