Police: Water Mill Man Allowed Underage Drinking in His Home

Several minors were drinking under his nose, according to police.

Officers responded to a loud party at a house on Uncle Leo's Lane in Water Mill Saturday morning and found that the 46-year-old homeowner was allowing underage drinking, according to .

The man was arrested at about 5 a.m. and charged with violating the Suffolk County Social Host Law, which holds adults accountable for failing "to take reasonable corrective action" to stop alcohol consumption by minors at their homes, police said.

"Responding police officers found several subjects under the age of 21 at the house and consuming alcohol," a police statement reads.

The defendant was processed and released on an appearance ticket. He is slated to appear in at at a future date.
