Police: Southampton Woman Finds Tracking Device on Her Car

Black box was taped to her windshield.

A 42-year-old Southampton woman who discovered a tracking device on her car's windshield says she has no idea who would want to track her, or why.

The woman told police Friday that she was getting gas at Hess in Water Mill that day when she noticed a small black box covered in electrical tape stuck to her windshield on the lower driver's side.

Police determined that the black box was a tracking device. The woman told police she does not know of anyone who would have reason to track her whereabouts.
