Police Seek Lawn Mower Thief
Shinnecock Hardware East reports man walked out without paying for lawncare equipment.
Southampton Town Police Department detectives and Suffolk County Crimes Stoppers are looking for information that will lead to the arrest of a man who stole a lawn mower from Shinnecock Hardware East.
The incident was on July 24 at the Southampton store on County Road 39.
"The suspect, who fled in a dark-colored vehicle, is described as a white male, wearing shorts, a light-colored T-shirt with a logo on the front and sneakers," Crime Stoppers stated.
There is a cash reward for information leading to an arrest, for up to $5,000. Crime Stoppers stated that anyone with information may confidentially call 1-800-220-TIPS.
