Police: Sag Harbor Woman Drove Drunk with 9-Year-Old

A 46-year-old Sag Harbor woman was arrested Wednesday in North Haven for DWI, a charge that was elevated to a felony under Leandra's Law because a passenger in the car was 9 years old, according to police.

Southampton Town police said Theresa Lantiere initially refused to pull over when an officer tried to stop her for driving on Barclay Drive with her headlights off in the dark. When Lantiere finally pulled over, the officer discovered she was intoxicated and arrested her at 2:42 a.m., police said.

Lantiere was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. She was processed at in Hampton Bays and held for arraignment at .
