Police: Noyac Man Sneaked Into Kitchen, Stole Booze

A 40-year-old Noyac man was caught on a surveillance camera sneaking into a kitchen and stealing a bottle of Barcardi rum, according to .
Police said Scott L. Eberle was taken into custody Wednesday at his Edgemere Drive residence without incident and charged with second-degree burglary, a felony. He was arraigned at Thursday and remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Riverside without bail.
Police did not say where the alleged June 21 burglary took place.

Eberle was also and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree, a misdemeanor, after making numerous phone calls to his ex-girlfriend, causing annoyance and making threats, police said. He was highly intoxicated at the time of that arrest, according to the arrest report.
