Town Police Log: Man Stabbed Woman With Scissors, Cops Say

Also among the week's arrests by Southampton Town police, two charged with DWI.

Arrests by the Southampton Town police between Sept. 14 through Sept. 23:


• Anthony Borgese, 21, of Sag Harbor, was arrested Sept. 23 at 6 p.m in Noyac. Borgese was charged with second-degree assault, a class C felony, after police said he stabbed a woman with a pair of scissors and attempted to strangle her in Noyac. The incident sent the victim to Southampton Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Borgese was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court on Sept. 24.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Edison Perez, 26, of East Hampton, was arrested Sept. 15  in Sagaponack after police said they stopped his vehicle at 3:46 a.m. on Sagg Road. Perez was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. He was additionally charged with speeding, a traffic infraction, and unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a violation.

• Christiana McMahon, 40, of Southampton, was arrested Sept. 14 at 1:02 a.m. on a misdemeanor charge of DWI after she was stopped by police in North Sea on Randall Road.
