Police: Convertible Left in Woods After Crash
No one has come forward to claim car, police say.
A BMW convertible was abandoned after being crashed into the woods at the intersection of Cooks Lane and Noyac Path in Water Mill on Saturday, according to police.
arrived at the scene at 6:52 a.m. Saturday and found the vehicle, a 2002 BMW 330, which had sustained extensive damage, according to the incident report. No witnesses were located and the car was impounded at police headquarters, police said.
“The vehicle was not reported stolen,” Sgt. Susan Ralph said Monday. As of noon that day, no one came to claim the vehicle, she said.
