Cops: Man Stole Credit Card Info, Bought Cigars

Police say Riverhead man used computerat work and customer's credit card number.

Police arrested a 32-year-old employee Dec. 7 after he allegedly ordered cigars with a customer’s credit card number on a work computer.

While working at the Southampton gym, Henrio Dorvil of Riverhead used a credit card belonging to a 35-year-old Southampton man to buy $53 worth of cigars at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 28, according to .

Dorvil was immediately fired from his job, said Rich Decker, the managing consultant for Hamptons Gym Corp. It is unclear how Dorvil got the credit card number, but Decker said in a prepared statement that the gym’s computer system does not record all the figures on customers' credit cards.

Dorvil turned himself in at town police headquarters in Hampton Bays on Dec. 7 at 10:24 p.m. and was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and unlawful possession of personal identification, third-degree identity theft and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors.
