Police: 68-Year-Old Reports Getting Punched by a 65-Year-Old
A verbal dispute in Sag Harbor escalated.
A 68-year-old man from Sag Harbor told that a 65-year-old man punched him in the chest last Sept. 28 at around 12:10 p.m. on Middle Line Highway in Sag Harbor.
The 68-year-old man told town police that he and the other man got into a argument about a trailer and a cable line, when the other man punched him with both fists in the chest, according to a police narrative of the incident. The 68-year-old man called town police and was treated by the Ambulance Company for difficulty breathing and chest pain, according to police.
But, the 68-year-old man refused to go to the hospital, according to police documentation. Police told him if he wishes to press charges, he should report to Southampton Town police headquarters in Hampton Bays.
