Police: $250,000 in Paintings Stolen in Art Theft

Twelve painting stolen during weekend burglary on Captains Neck Lane.

Works by Frederick H. McDuff, Jean Duffy, Jacques Martin-Ferrieres, Howard Behrens, Pierre Bittar and C. Everley were among 12 paintings stolen from a Captains Neck Lane residence between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning, according to Southampton Village Police.

The total value of the paintings is estimated at more than $250,000, police said.

Police are urging anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the paintings to call detectives at 631-283-0056.
