Numerous Accidents Across Southampton Tuesday A.M.

Accidents on County Road 39, and in Bridgehampton and Noyac.

Southampton Town police and other emergency personnel have responded to at least four accidents in town east of the Shinnecock Canal so far Tuesday morning.

There was one injury during a crash on Long Beach Road in Noyac at 8:18 a.m., and two minutes later a two vehicle accident occurred on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton. A white truck, which appears to have been side-swiped, was stopped in front of the Bridgehampton Starbucks with its front driver side tire completely flat. No injuries were reported in that accident and police are still on scene.

Then at 8:57 a.m., police responded to County Road 39, near Southampton Brick and Tile, for a two-vehicle accident. No details were immediately available.

And two people were injured during a crash in Noyac around 7:45 a.m. that caused one of the vehicles to flip over.

The accidents compound traffic headaches brought on by the U.S. Women's Open being in town this week, taking place at Sebonack Golf Club in Tuckahoe.
