Naval Academy Memorabilia Stolen in Burglary
A $5,000 reward is offered for information on the crime.
A Southampton Village man awoke in the middle of the night on Sept. 24 to find a burglar in his Tuckahoe Lane home, and now Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
The burglar fled when confronted at 3:10 a.m., but not before stealing Naval Academy memorabilia, a New York Giants football helmet signed by the 1987 Super Bowl team, and other valuables, according to .
Through Crime Stoppers, Southampton Village police are seeking the public's help to identify the burglar — or burglars — responsible.

The stolen property includes a silver flask engraved with the scores of 53 Army/Navy games, three Naval Academy dress swords, a Naval Academy ring, a Naval academy money clip, a Nintendo Wii videogame console, a sterling silver tea set and several pieces of costume jewelry.
