UPDATE, 1:15 p.m.: Southampton Police said Millstone Road is opened back up after a crash Saturday night that required a replacement utility pole.
Long Island Power Authority crews finished around 11 a.m., police said, though no further information was available regarding the crash itself.
UPDATE, 8:15 a.m.: According to Southampton Police, a section of Millstone Road remains closed Sunday morning, while the driver of a crash that took down a utility pole had still yet to be found.
Sgt. Michael Burns said that the driver, believed to be a Hispanic male wearing a yellow shirt, had not been apprehended after the crash. Police could not provide further information.
Original story: A car rolled over and took down a utility pole on Millstone Road in Bridgehampton on Saturday evening.
Millstone Road, between Old Sag Harbor Road and Middle Line Highway, were still closed as of 1:15 a.m., as Long Island Power Authority crews were called in to replace the pole.
Southampton Town police and Bridgehampton Fire Department personnel responded to the rollover at about 10:30 p.m.
No one was taken to the hospital. The car was towed away.
According to LIPA, only five customers were affected by the power outage.
No further information was immediately available.
