Man Charged With Felony Assault After Stabbing
State police say Daquan Eleazer stabbed another man over a property dispute.
A 21-year-old resident of the Shinnecock Reservation in Southampton was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, after he stabbed another man in the abdomen, according to police.
New York State police said that Daquan Eleazer turned himself in shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday to the police barracks in Riverside, for a that occurred that day at 10:30 a.m. on the reservation. Eleazer stabbed a 31-year-old male Shinnecock resident during a physical altercation that started over the ownership of property, then fled the scene, according to police.
"The victim was treated and released at ," police said.
