Update: Jogger Reports Attempted Abduction

Police are on the lookout for an older model dark green car.

are looking for a man who reportedly tried to force a jogger into his car in Noyac under the pretense of asking her for directions.

The suspect, a middle-aged white male Hispanic wearing a black fleece zippered jacket and a plain blue baseball cap, had approached the woman in the parking lot on Thursday afternoon, police said.

The jogger told dispatchers that the man was driving a four-door dark green sedan, possibly a Crown Victoria. She said it looked like a taxi cab, but it was not one. The man parked his car and got out, asking for directions to a nonspecified bank, police said. He then placed his arm around the jogger's shoulders and asked her to "come show him," according to police.

"The jogger then became alarmed and struck the subject in the head with her iPod," police said. She fled the scene with no further incident.

Police were called to the woman's home in Noyac at 1 p.m., 20 minutes after the alleged attempted abduction.
