Man Airlifted After Fall at Construction Site

Medevac helicopter transports victim.

A man fell at a construction site on Flying Point Road in Water Mill on Wednesday morning and was airlifted to a hospital, according to police.

Southampton Town Police Sgt. William Kiernan said the fall was reported at 8:14 a.m.  Southampton Fire Department, an ambulance company and police detectives responded. The victim was taken by ambulance to the ballfields at Downs Family Park, nearby on Flying Point Road, to meet a Suffolk County medevac helicopter, Kiernan said.

Kiernan said he does not know where the victim fell from, but detectives were on scene as of 9:30 a.m. and would give a report shortly.
