Incident Reports: Water Heater Taken From Summer Home

Also this week, a homeowner said his home's windows were damaged.

Crimes and suspicious incidents recently reported to the Southampton Town Police Department east of the Shinnecock Canal.

Criminal Mischief

• A Sag Harbor resident told police May 25 that someone damaged her home’s windows and aluminum siding while she was away in New York City. Police said there are no leads or suspects at this time.

Petty Larceny

• A Southampton resident reported to police May 20 that someone took items from her car, including an iPod Touch and $200 in cash while the car was parked on Old Field Road.

Grand Larceny

• A Sagaponack man told police on May 25 that someone stole a water heater, valued at $1,400, from a cottage that he rents out.

• A Montauk man told police that on May 26 while he car was parked in Bridgehampton, someone broke into his car and stole a $200 GPS and sunglasses valued at $150.
