Assault
• A Hampton Bays man reported May 28 that while across from the Hampton Bays train station a stranger hit him with a bottle in the face, causing a deep laceration to his left cheek. Police said the complainant was intoxicated and became uncooperative, and had to be restrained after being taken to , to prevent him from hitting medical personnel.

Grand Larceny
• A Northampton man reported to police that between May 23 and 24 someone entered a fenced in backyard and stole a 2004 customized Yamaha dirt bike out of a shed.

• A New York man reported June 2 that someone removed spigots and copper piping from his Southampton home. The complainant said it is a summer home and no one should have been at the house since 2010.
• A Southampton man reported June 6 that sometime between December and February, the heating element for his pool heater, estimated to be worth $1,800, was stolen.
• An East Moriches woman reports that after leaving a bank envelope containing $6,200 in her unlocked vehicle, parked in Speonk, the envelope was stolen.
• An East Quogue contractor reported May 24 that someone stole 25 bundles of red cedar shingles from a jobsite on Mecox Road in Bridgehampton. The shingles were estimated to be worth $1,575.
Criminal Mischief
• A Hampton Bays man on Bittersweet South reported on May 28 that someone damaged his garage window with a BB gun.
• A Flanders man reported to police on June 3 that while on Lake Avenue in Riverside, someone in a dark colored Jeep threw a brick at his vehicle, striking the windshield. Broken glass caused the victim minor cuts and bleeding.
• A business manager reported May 29 that an $800 window was broken at a salon on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
Fraud
• A Southampton man reported May 30 that after sending $1,800 through Western Union to a person in London for a small aircraft motor, he became suspicious when the person requested an additional $845. The man said he contacted eBay, and the recipient of the cash was confirmed to have been using a fake eBay account number.
Burglary
• A real estate agent reported on May 27 that someone stole a flatscreen television, DVD player, kitchen plates, chairs, antique dresser and white microwave out of a home on Yale Avenue in Hampton Bays.
• A Brooklyn man reported on May 27 that someone had broken in to his Fort Hill Road home in Hampton Bays by forcing a window and breaking a lock, then stole a PlayStation 2, multiple video games, an electric grill and utensils. The man said it appears the person used the fireplace and slept in a bed.
• A real estate agent reported June 1 that someone broke in through the rear door of a Depot Road home in Hampton Bays and removed copper pipe from the basement.
