Flanders Man Charged With DWI After Southampton Accident
No injuries reported in minor crash.
After responding to a two-vehicle accident at a gas station parking lot on County Road 39 at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Southampton Town police arrested a Flanders man and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Police said 33-year-old Marco Hernandez was drunk when he was behind the wheel of one of the vehicles involved in the accident.
Hernandez was additionally charged with backing unsafely and driving without a license, both violations. He was held overnight for arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court.
