East Hampton School Bus Hits Tree

No injuries reported after minor accident on County Road 39.

An East Hampton School District minibus drove off County Road 39 and into a tree Monday morning — but police said the damage was minor and no injuries were reported.

Sgt. Scott Foster said there were six passengers on the bus, though he did not know whether they were children or adults. He said County Road 39 was not shut down as a result of the accident.

The East Hampton School District Transportation Department referred inquiries to the district superintendent, who was unavailable.

This article will be updated as more details become available.

There were children on the bus, that were on their way to the WHB Learning Center. I know this, as one of them was my five year old autistic son that attends Kindergarten there :( I have been given three different causes of the accident. It is hard to call it minor when you worry about children that are unable to articulate. Thank God all my son has is some bruising from the harness.
