Only residents and invited guests allowed to pass.

The Secret Service, Southampton Village police and members of other South Fork police agencies are blocking traffic on Meadow Lane Sunday afternoon, only allowing motorists and pedestrians to pass who can prove that they live on the ocean road — or that they have an invitation to billionaire industrialist David Koch's $50,000-per-person fundraiser for Mitt Romney.

The Secret Service met with the Southampton Village police chief on Friday in anticipation of Romney's two Meadow Lane fundraisers on Sunday, including the Koch event, which liberal and progressive groups to protest money is politics. Then local to welcome Romney.

Progressives, including members of the Long Island Progressive Coalition, MoveOn.org and Occupy the Hamptons, met at 3 p.m. at the village's with posters and banners in hand, and planned to set out around 4 p.m. to march toward Koch's estate. But they will not get as far as they had planned after the police set up the barricade. The fundraiser was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

How adorable, now the Governor is barricading himself in the Hamptons with Luvey and Thurston Howell the third.. the millionaire, and his wife.. the movie star.. no professor and Maryane.. there on Romneys Isle. This is one way to reach the common man, while the other guy is out on a bust at least pretending to be trying to earn it with 'the people'.

The President does not ride the bus, he flys from place to place. The bus is for staff. Good protests over - 15 people vs. 5 people. Go Home Now.

Dissent is patriotic and the thread of our pseudo-democratic fabric. Don't knock it 'till you try it.

It's embarassing for Hamptomnites that David Koch pay those children to go back home. Then, there would not have been all that awfunl noise. I could hardly get any work done.

I have been reading your posts and like the old saying goes, "Opinions are like a-holes everyone has one, but at least post your real name instead of hiding behind a brand name. At least have the Balls to show who you really are and then we can respond to your posts with honesty. Hiding behind a Car name is really sad and it shows that all you believe in is $$$ and you really do not understand the everyone today Is hurting for Justice and being heard is all the American people want, is that so bad.. If you wanted the protesters to go home then you should have went and asked them to leave... Have a nice day

@ Jaguar guy I just wanted to tell you I am not stupid. Dont you realize that $50,000 a plate is a yearly salary to some residents and everyone is hurting. All the American people Just want to be Heard thats all, And still it is a brand name, with every statement or reply to is so negative that judging anyone for a comment is very negative. I hope you realize the old saying what goes around comes around. It is called KARMA, I do not wish ill will on you or anyone just remember a smile and postivie attitude goes a long way, because even though people are hurting some of them still have a postivie attitude and still smiles, I hope you have a nice day..

Ok Leslie. Obama has had multiple $45k dinners - so why pick on Romney now. Where is your outrage at Obama ?? If you have read any posts, you'd know I am sick of this process. As the saying goes - "everyone likes sausage, but nobody wants to see it made". I want campaign reform. You insult me about "Jaguar" when I like football, but presume I am rich and drive one - preposterously presumptious, and tell me to post my name when all you do is list "leslie" - Pot-Kettle. YOU should watch out for Karma yourself, but I hope you have a nice day too.
