Crimes Nearby: 3 Nabbed in Riverhead CVS Robbery
Also: Fake bills being passed off in Hampton Bays in East Quogue.
The following information was supplied by the East End and Suffolk County police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.
• A South Jamesport a man was arrested Thursday after police said he kicked in a door, stole a woman's bag, then fled the scene and crashed his van while drunk.
According to Riverhead police, Aaron Hallock, 37, was arrested at 1:21 p.m. after officers responded to a call about a door being kicked in at a South Jamesport home.

Police said Hallock removed the contents of a pocketbook before fleeing in a white van, then struck a utility pole. He ran from the scene, leading officers on a foot pursuit.
Hallock was placed under arrest and charged with burglary in the second degree, a felony, driving while intoxicated, a felony, and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to Riverhead police, Lavon Dawson, 17, of Riverhead, Ishawn Jackson, 16, of Calverton, and Jhmil Dawson, 26, of Coram, were arrested and charged with attempted robbery in the first degree, a felony. Dawson was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, also a felony.
Police said they responded to CVS at 7 a.m., where two men had reportedly entered the store with a pistol. The two store employees were able to flee the store after being approached by the men; they were able to set off a store alarm, police said. The suspects fled the scene without any money or other proceeds being taken.
They were located nearby; earlier, police had said they were located in a farm field, one suspect lying on the ground. Dawson had entered the store before the other two suspects to check on the number of people inside, police said.
Wednesday was the second time this year the store was robbed at gunpoint: Two masked, armed robbers held up a Riverhead CVS in January, police said.
• A suspect was nabbed on East Main Street in Riverhead early Wednesday while breaking into a gas station, police said. According to Riverhead police, Sundiata Evans, 20, was arrested at 4:01 a.m. after police got a call about a commercial burglar alarm going off at OK Petrol. Officers and a K-9 unit headed to the scene, where the front door was seen damaged. An officer spotted the defendant, who was trying to flee, inside. The K-9 unit apprehended Evans while still inside the building. Evans was arrested at the scene and charged with burglary in the third degree, a felony, criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
A well-known equestrian, who recently established a Mattituck horse farm, with a friend was killed in his East Setauket home on Tuesday evening.
Ross Reisner, 50, was found shot in the chest in his house on Upper Sheep Pasture Road at about 8:45 p.m. Suffolk County police said the gunshot came through a window. No arrests have been made yet.
"I'm in disbelief," Bobby Ginsberg, of Southampton, his childhood friend and business partner, said on Wednesday. "If somebody would have told me a car accident or a heart attack, or something you hear everyday, maybe it would have been easier. To hear he was murdered — I can't even believe it," he said.
• Southampton Town police are investigating several incidents where fake $100 bills were passed off in Hampton Bays and East Quogue.
According to police, the most recent incident occurred on Sept. 16 when someone used a fake $100 bill to purchase a $2 Lotto scratch-off at the East Quogue Pizza & Deli on Montauk Highway before leaving with the ticket and $98 in real tender.
The person left in a car with a passenger in a dark colored vehicle.
EAST HAMPTON• A Middle Highway resident said over $11,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from their house on Sept. 20 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. A pair of diamond earrings and another pair— gold half-carat pave setting earrings — along with a set of gold hoop earrings, a gold cross necklace, and a small black jewelry box containing miscellaneous earring sets were taken in the burglary. There were no signs of forced entry. Detectives are investigating.
