say they are looking for two men who sexually assaulted a woman walking in Southampton early Sunday morning.
According to police, a 38-year-old woman was walking eastbound on County Road 39 near the Elks Lodge around 4:30 a.m. when the two Hispanic men grabbed her, dragged her into a nearby wooded area and assaulted her.
The victim was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for further evaluation, police said. Meanwhile, town police and Suffolk County Police aviation conducted a search of the area in conjunction with the Riverhead Police K-9 Unit, but were unsuccessful.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call 631-702-2230.
We need Sheriff Joe Arpio to find these criminal defendants who should be locked up.
How many women joggers in NY's Central Park have been assaulted? Things are NOT equal -- men are stronger + the twisted ones will take advantage of those weaker. Now what if she had a gun???
