Cops: Woman Drove Drunk With Toddler in Car

Police say a woman was involved in a dispute with her nanny before driving drunk with a 14-month-old.

A Water Mill woman stands charged with violating Leandra’s Law, a felony, for reportedly driving drunk with her 14-month-old child in her car.

According to Southampton Town police, Laura Bowery-Falco, 44, was involved in a physical dispute with the family nanny on Thursday and left the scene in her car, bringing her toddler along with her. After driving to her mother’s house on Roses Grove Road in Water Mill at around 2:20 p.m., according to a police report, an officer saw her get out of the car with her child.

Bowery-Falco was arrested on the aggravated driving while intoxicated charge, elevated to a felony due the child passenger, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child, and a second-degree harassment charge, which is a violation.
