A Southampton woman beat her ex-boyfriend with a high heel shoe and keyed his car early Sunday morning after a two-vehicle crash, according to police.
Southampton Town police said 32-year-old Nicole J. Sobol was a passenger in a vehicle when it was involved in an accident with a second vehicle being driven by her ex. The crash — at North Sea Road and Majors Path — didn't cause any injuries, but Sobol got out and began to punch and kick her ex and hit him in the head and face with her footwear, police reported, adding that she then keyed his car. The victim suffered a laceration and bruising and was taken to Southampton Hospital, they said.
Sobol was arrested at the scene at 2:41 a.m. and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, as well as fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. She was taken to police headquarters in Hampton Bays to be held for morning arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court.
Police did not state what caused the crash, or who was behind the wheel of the vehicle Sobol was in.
