Cops: Patrons Punch, Kick Man During Fight in 75 Main Parking Lot

Man sent to hospital as Southampton Village police investigate another brawl at Main Street restaurant.

Predawn on Saturday morning, a fight involving at least a dozen 75 Main patrons broke out in the restaurant and bar's parking lot as they were leaving, according to Southampton Village police.

Police said they responded to Main Street at 4:18 a.m. after receiving a complaint of a fight, and arrived to find a man on the ground bleeding. The man suffered injuries from being kicked and punched by several others, police stated.

The victim, who had a broken nose and lacerations on his face, was taken to Southampton Hospital by Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance.

An East Hampton man was placed under arrest for his connection to the fight, police said. Jonnathan Mauricio Rodas Castro, 23, was charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can call 631-283-0056.

On Nov. 25, 2012, at 3:05 a.m., village, town and state police responded to 75 Main to break up a brawl, which spilled out onto the street, village police said at the time.

What is the story with 75 Main? It seems to attract late night, heavy drinkers who are violent. Is 75 Main serving drinks at 4:00 in the morning? What time does this place close? I don't go there anymore. Service and food awful. It has really gone down hill.

Absolutely ridiculous! This is what happens when a "club kid" takes over a restaurant in the village. It's gone completely downhill! The wait staff has no personality, just like the owner.

Too bad the village board doesn't care. It's let this place run wild for years ... pounding music, dining tables on both sides of the the sidewalk, right next to the cars and all the fights. What happened to enforcing regulations?

That place has sucked as a restaurant, under every operator, ever since it opened in the 80s. I guess they have to turn it in to a nightclub to make any money. I'm pretty sure its also illegal to run a nightclub there.
