Over the holiday weekend, police made multiple DWI and drug arrests west of the canal over the Fourth of July weekend. Find this week's log below.

DWI

• Police charged Gerson Ruiz, 21, of Flanders with DWI, a misdemeanor, on Friday, after they pulled him over on Lewis Road in East Quogue for reportedly failing to maintain his lane.

• Nilton Ulate-Fallas, 51, of Hampton Bays was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on Monday after police pulled him over on Montauk Highway for failing to maintain his lane. He was also ticketed for not having a driver’s license, police said.

• Peter Postel, 45, of Hampton Bays was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on Sunday after police pulled him over on Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays for failing to maintain his lane. Police said he was also ticketed for having a loud muffler.

• Tyler Singelton, 40, of Brentwood was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on Sunday, after police said he was pulled over for failing to yield to traffic on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays. Police also ticketed him for not wearing a seatbelt and for having an unregistered car.

• Peter Postel, 45, of Hampton Bays was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on Sunday after police pulled him over for failing to maintain his lane on Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays.

Boating While Intoxicated

• Albert Menz, 49, was charged with boating while intoxicated and operating a vessel while intoxicated, both misdemeanors, on Saturday after the Coast Guard boarded his boat at the locks in the Shinnecock Canal in Hampton Bays.

Drugs

• A 21-year-old Calverton man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor, on Friday after police said they found him sitting in the drivers seat of a car, parked on Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays. Police said the man had the drug Molly.

• A 38-year-old Calverton man was caught with a quantity of cocaine on Friday. Police said the man was walking to the Beach Bar parking lot in Hampton Bays when they stopped to question him about a bench warrant. Police said the man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor.

• A Flushing man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree on Saturday after police said they questioned him about walking with an open container of Bud on Lynn Avenue in Hampton Bays., Police said they found he had MDMA.

• A 27-year-old Patchogue man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree on Saturday after police spotted him urinating in a parking lot across the street from Tiana Beach in Hampton Bays. Police said he was carrying a quantity of ketamine.
