Passenger was 8 years old, police say.

A 47-year-old woman from Great Neck was drunk and carrying an 8-year-old passenger when she caused a chain-reaction rear-end accident in Bridgehampton in Monday, according to police.

Southampton Town police said Lee Introp was driving on Montauk Highway when she hit a vehicle so hard that it was pushed into the rear of a third vehicle. Bridgehampton Fire Department responded to the accident to clean up a fuel spill.

Introp was arrested at 6:09 p.m. and charged with aggravated DWI with a child in vehicle, a felony charge under Leandra's Law. She was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
