Cops: DWI Accident Closed Noyac Road for Hour Friday

Sag Harbor woman arrested.

A Sag Harbor woman was arrested on Noyac Road Friday after she drove off the roadway and into a utility pole while drunk, according to Southampton Town police.

Police said 28-year-old Maria Sirianne, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was placed under arrest at 10:30 p.m.  She was not injured in the accident.

As the Long Island Power Authority worked to repair the pole, Noyac Road in the vicinity of the North Sea Fire Department was closed for about an hour, according to police.

Sirianne was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and was held at Southampton Town police headquarters in Hampton Bays until her morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court.
