Community Invited To North Sea Firehouse Saturday

Demonstration, fire prevention discussion happens from 1 to 3 p.m.

The North Sea Fire Department will be holding an open house, where the whole family can learn about fire prevention and check out firefighters in action, on Saturday.

Chief William Rosko Jr. said the community can check out the department's apparatus and see how firefighters extricate people from vehicles after an accident. There will also be fire prevention discussions, and the North Sea Junior firefighters will also give a demonstration.

"It will be a great day to teach your kids the importance of fire prevention and safety, and also a great day to meet your local firemen," Rosko said.

The open house will take place between 1 and 3 p.m. at headquarters, located at 149 Noyac Road in North Sea.
