A driver in the parking lot of Yesterday's Treasures, a statue store on County Road 39 in Southampton, accidentally smashed into several statues Tuesday afternoon, damaging or destroying several of them.

Mike, a manager at the store who would only give his first name, said the car was a small Nissan being driven by a man.

"He drove through a bunch of dinosaurs, and then hit some cows," Mike said.

Mike said the accident occurred around 12:40 p.m. and Southampton Town police responded; there did not appear to be any injuries.

Imagine what will get mowed down if the Town persists in encouraging a King Kullen on the corner of Magee St and Cty Rd 39. Just what this road needs is a caravan of delivery trucks. It is this mega, football field sized "grocery store" that is a dinosaur and the Town Board are neanderthals.

The guy must have been texting. No way he could have missed seeing those 12' dinosaurs and a herd of cows.

I've been WAITING for someone to do this on purpose... Too bad it was a drunk idiot. At least now we all know you can get through a bunch of em before your car breaks
