A Bridgehampton burglar seems to have a taste for local wines.
are investigating a looking for a burglar who broke into a Toppings Path home last week and stole three bottles of wine.
A 36-year-old Bridgehampton man told police on Saturday that someone has broken into his home at least four times in the past few months, with the most recent happening sometime last week, according to police documentation.

The man told police he returned to his home Saturday and saw that someone broke in through a back window. He noticed that three Wolffer wine bottles, together worth $120, were missing. A $200 bottle of Dom Perignon was missing as well.
The man also found a pair of woman’s jeans in the house. According to the police incident report, the burglar replaces the back window’s screen and locks the front door when leaving in an attempt to cover up the break in.
