Assault, Stalking Leads To Arrests in Southampton Village

The Southampton Village police report the following arrests for the week on Nov. 5.

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Village Police Department on Nov. 6 for the past three weeks of September. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• A 43-year-old Southampton man was arrested following an investigation of an ongoing domestic dispute. On Oct. 31 at approximately 1:50 p.m., he was charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree and stalking in the fourth-degree, both misdemeanors.

• A 22-year-old Riverhead man was arrested on Nov. 3, at approximately 11:35 a.m., and charged with assault in the third degree following an investigation of an altercation that had occurred earlier in the day on Nugent Street. The victim was treated for his injuries at the Southampton Hospital, police said.
