Town Police Log: DWI Charge in North Sea

Also among the week's arrest reports, a man charged with attempted suffocation.

DWI

• Manuel Ruiz, 62, of Southampton, was arrested Nov. 11 in North Sea on a charge of drunk driving, a misdemeanor, after he was stopped by cops on Seaweed Road at 7:31 p.m. Police said Ruiz failed roadside sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

Criminal Obstruction of Breath

• A Southampton man, Christian Dilalla, 42, was charged with attempting to suffocate a woman with a pillow Nov. 9 at a residence in North Sea. Police arrested Dilalla at 5:45 p.m. Criminal obstruction of breath is a class A misdemeanor.
