Alec Baldwin's Stalker May Be Banned from Amagansett

Woman allegedly showed up at the actor's house before she was arrested in New York City in 2012.

The woman accused of stalking Alec Baldwin last year in New York City, as well as showing up at his Amagansett house, may never be able to visit the area again, The New York Post reports.

A very specific plea deal the prosecution is offering Genevieve Sabourin stipulates she'll have to stay out of the entire hamlet of Amagansett and far away from Baldwin and his pregnant wife.

According to The Post, the order would also require she “stay 10 blocks away from the [Baldwins’] New York City address, stay 10 blocks away from Hilaria Baldwin’s yoga studios, and stay 10 blocks away from NBC studios,” Assistant District Attorney Zach Stendig told the judge.

In exchange, she would receive no jail time.

In April 2012, East Hampton Town Police Chief Ed Ecker said his department was called to Baldwin's house in late March — the same weekend Baldwin proposed to his wife. The woman reportedly pulled up in a silver sedan, exited the car, and Baldwin called the police. The woman had already driven off when an officer arrived, and she was not found.

About a week later, town police received a call from a New York City Police Department detective informing them that a suspect, Genevieve Sabourin, had been identified. According to The New York Post, Sabourin, a 40-year-old Canadian actress sent emails and text messages to Baldwin confessing her love for him, that she wanted to have his baby and that she needed money.

No charges were ever filed locally.

Yes Didi I know him, and how I know him, frankly, is none of your business, but I'll say this -- neither he nor anyone else who knows me ever has considered me ignorant or a menace. Dog, obviously no one should expect better from you than what you're presenting here. Now for what's important: What did I say about Baldwin, and what did he just do? You call grabbing a woman who's doing her job (the reporter whose job it was to ask him for comment on the lawsuit filed against his wife) by the arm and telling her "I hope you choke to death" something that a good person who does not mistreat others would do? It was an opportunity for him to speak up for the temporary bride, but instead he created a situation that burdens her further when she's already pregnant and having to deal with being sued. If he doesn't know that he's apt to be accosted by reporters and photographers when he goes outside to walk those ridiculous little dogs or for any other reason after he and/or his wife has just been in the news, then he's ignorant, and he just proved again that he's a menace. Like the cops out here, the NYPD has gone easy on him up to now, but they're not investigating him for no reason now. Even if he gets out of it, look what he just did. You're not helping him by giving him a pass on things and attacking his critics. There's a reason why people in town couldn't stand him from the time he first moved out here, and he just gave another example of it.

ViralGrain: I am not envious of Alec Baldwin at all. I've had more advantages in my life than he has, and I'm glad not to be the kind of person he is. Genevieve Sabourin came out here not to bother him, but to confront him and be treated with respect. I don't care how hard he tries to buy acceptance out here; it was a better place before he showed up and his hangers-on turned it into Hollywood East and a croweded suburd, the things he benefits usually are the things that reflect his own interests, and his "philanthropy" tends to increase when his own bad behavior has threatened his public image. Genevieve Sabourin came out here to find and confront him and be treated with respect, not to harass him. Having seen how callously he's treated women he's used, I applaud her.

Respect is a 2 way street. Popping over to someones house unwelcomed or unannounced is not a sign of respect. You claim she was looking for respect but you got to give respect to get respect and that goes for anyone? I'm not happy when people just pop by my house without calling even if they're my friends. I think you and that lady maybe need to learn a little respect. That attitude of self entitlement and to bash the guy cause you feel you have the rite to just show up or go asking personal questions out of the blue is over the line. Same goes for the reporter. It's nobodies business. The guy might be famous and all but he's a human being. I don't watch tv and don't really know one celebrity from another. Wasn't for my girlfriend at the time I would have never realized I was drinking with Jack Nicholson one night. I just know of Alec Baldwin cause he lives here he is one of the few who has given back to the community here and we crossed paths briefly onetime and someone had to tell me who he was. Like I said before you put these people on a pedestal of your expectations, but the reality of it is just because they might be a public figure doesn't make them public property and you should respect them as if they were anyone else. You guys seem to ambush these people out from left field. Would you like me or DOG just to get up in your personal space asking you a bunch of personal questions or just stopping by your house? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
