At least two vehicles were involved in an accident Thursday morning in the eastbound lanes near where Sunrise Highway becomes County Road 39.
The accident occurred around 8 a.m.
As the accident was cleaned up, traffic was bumper to bumper between Hampton Bays and Southampton.
One of the sedans involved was being removed by a wrecker around 8:15 a.m. and traffic was letting up. New York State police were on scene.
