Update: Hill Street was back open and traffic was flowing by 7:05 p.m.
Initial Story:
A motor vehicle crash closed Hill Street in Southampton Village at about 6:12 p.m.
An SUV ended up perpendicular to the road. According to a witness who came upon the scene moments after the accident, the driver was concious, but appeared disoriented.
The SUV appears to have been involved in a collision with a trailer carrying an excavator.
