North Sea Road between Bowden Square and West Prospect Street in Southampton Village was shut down for an hour Monday as firefighters and ambulance crews responded to a three-car crash with injuries.
Southampton Fire Department 2nd Assistant Chief Chris Brenner said the call came in at 5:31 p.m. Though it was reported that someone was trapped in a vehicle, that turned out not to be the case, he said. A 2013 Porsche, a Saturn and a Volkswagen were involved.
While fire police closed the road, firefighters used Speedy Dry to absorb fluids in the road, Brenner said. First Assistant Chief Mike Kampf was in charge of the scene.
Southampton Village police are investigating the accident.
