So... Jay Jacobs has opened his camp on Little Fresh Pond.
I have no objection to children enjoying themselves outdoors.
I do object when the interests of a well-healed, politically well-connected outsider's interests take precedence over the serious environmental risks to the health of a rare resource such as Little Fresh Pond and the surrounding wetlands.
I do object when our elected officials blatantly disregard the zoning laws put into effect to protect the environment and preserve the integrity our neighborhoods for the future.
Southampton voters will not forget this betrayal when the zoning board members are up for reelection.
