Lottery fever is sweeping across Long Island, with Wednesday's Powerball jackpot now above $500 million.
But while locals are rushing to get their tickets before the 10:59 p.m. drawing, we're wondering what any of you would do will all that money.
We asked Southampton Patch's fans on Facebook what they would do.
Wendy said, "I would help all my friends who helped me out in the 49 yrs I have been on this wonderful planet. then donate to charities that i seem to be doing the work for the cause not the MONEY...."
DanTeresa said, "Help as many people who lost so much during the Hurricane Sandy!"
Darren said, "Create a big corporation. I like to stay busy.
Krystyna said, "For us — a long over due vacation, buy the house we are in and whatever else we need for it and a new car. A real retirement home for my parents somewhere that they both can enjoy. Open my dream gym/ fitness facility that I did my thesis on but updated with our current technology, day care and cater to real people that work for a living, fit or not, young to retired++, with or without health issues."
