How Early is Too Early For Black Friday Shopping?

Target leads the charge opening at 9 p.m Thanksgiving Eve instead of the customary midnight hour.

Thanksgiving Eve may be the new Black Friday with retailers inching back store opening times bit by bit each year. This year Target said they will open doors at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving allowing mad shoppers to get an even earlier jump on shopping. But how early is too early?

Has American consumerism tainted a uniquely American holiday? Will earlier retail start times change dinner plans for your family?  Share your thoughts in our comment section.

Let's don't pass judgement on people, especially ones we don't know. Black Friday does not interest me at all, but I know there are people who think it's fun (to each their own) and others who wait all year for a chance to buy something at a huge discount. I'm hoping people will come out to shop at their locals independent stores if they can.

Personally I am boycotting any store opening on Thanksgiving. It really is a hardship for employees who have not choice. Shop at small independently owned stores and look for American made products.
