Southampton Resident Louis Segreti Dies at 91

He was a World War II veteran.

Louis Segreti, a resident of Southampton since 1987, died April 17 at the age of 91.

Segreti, along with being a devoted father, grandfather, and role model, was a decorated World War II Veteran with the Army Air Corps, according to his family.

He and his wife, Mary Segreti, were married for 67 years.   

Segreti was born in the Bronx on October 17, 1921, and retired from the A&P Supermarket as a butcher after 40 years. "We are going to miss his meatballs," his family said.

He is predeceased by his son, John Segreti.

He is survived by his daughters, Virginia Lowe and Valerie Stagnari. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.   

Services were held at O'Connell Funeral Home in Southampton and Our Lady Poland Roman Catholic Church in Southampton Village. He was laid to rest with full military honors at Pinelawn Cemetery.
