Shinnecock Electric Owner Tommy Sundberg Dies at 49

Hampton Bays resident had four children.

Thomas Frank Sundberg, of Hampton Bays, died Tuesday.

Born April 12, 1963, and originally from Carle Place, he was 49. 

He was the proprietor of Shinnecock Electric in Southampton. 

Sundberg was an avid golfer and most recently a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a loving father who was devoted to and proud of his four children.

Sundberg is survived by parents Connie and Robert Sundberg; brothers Robert, Edward and Brian Sundberg; sister Donna D’Addio; son Thomas  (TJ) and daughter Jordan Sundberg and their mother, Theresa; and daughters  Meghan and Kathleen Sundberg and their mother, Kathleen Charla. Tommy also had many friends who will miss him.

A wake was held Friday at O'Connell Funeral Home in Southampton Village, followed by a funeral Saturday at Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. A cremation at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches followed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomas Sundberg Memorial
Building Fund, at Our Lady of The Hamptons Roman Catholic School, 160 North Main St, Southampton, NY 11968. Attention: Sister Kathy.
