Father Stanley Kondeja, the pastor of in Southampton Village, has died at the age of 74.
Kondeja was born April 9, 1938, and ordained in the priesthood on June 16, 1962, when he was 24 years old.
According to the website, Kondeja passed away late Saturday afternoon at his home, the church rectory on Maple Street.
Every Sunday, Kondeja delivered mass in both Polish and English at Our Lady of the Hamptons.
A visitation was held Monday evening at. There will be another visitation at O'Connell on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Then in the evening, from 5 to 8 p.m., there will be a visitation at Our Lady of Poland, followed by a Mass of Transferral at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Poland, followed by interment at Sacred Hearts Roman Catholic Cemetery.
