Henrietta Mongerson of Southampton Dies at 87

Henrietta T. Mongerson of Southampton, died Saturday, at nursing home in Greeport at age 87.

She is survived by her daughter, Sally Hawke of Water Mill; brothers Daune Maurstad of Texas, Ingolf Maurstad of South Dakota, Douglas Maurstad of South Dakota; a sister, Joanne Hadland of Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Kristin  Edson of Southampton, and Karla Brantuk of Cutchogue; and four great grandchildren; Hawke, Sloane and Oliver Edson and Cole Brantuk. She was predeceased by her husband, Alan Mongerson, and two brothers Marion Roger Maurstad (who died in infancy) and Marion Jewell Maurstad.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the in Southampton, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. conducted by Richard King. A private committal service will follow at Water Mill Cemetery by the Rev. Richard Boyer.

Memorial donations to Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. 371 E. Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY 11787-2976 would be appreciated by the family.
