Edwin A. Hedges, of Bridgehampton, died on April 16 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead at the age of 81.
Predeceased by his wife, Helen O. Hedges, he is survived by brothers Eugene, Albert, David, William, and John Hedges and a sister, Margaret Makowski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Guyer and Florence Lamz.
Visiting hours will take place on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton Village, where a parish prayer service will begin at 2 p.m.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Bridgehampton, officiated by the Rev. Peter Devaraj. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Bridgehampton.
