Halloween Activities for Kids in Southampton
From spooky tales to ragamuffin parades, there's plenty of Halloween festivities.
Here are some events we found that are sure to keep your kids entertained and in the Halloween spirit from now right through to trick-or-treating on Oct. 31. If there's something we missed, please add it in the comments below.
WAILING MUSEUM
The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum transforms to a haunted house Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 6 to 9 p.m., for $10. A special children's tour will be given on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., for $5 per child. Note to Parents: Not for the faint of heart!

SAG HARBOR RAG-A-MUFFIN PARADE
The annual Sag Harbor costume parade will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. Kids can meet at the municipal parking lot behind BookHampton and then parade down Main Street to the Custom House, where sandwiches and drinks will be available for purchase (all to benefit the Sag Harbor Food Pantry). The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce sponsors the event.

SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE RAGAMUFFIN PARADE
Southampton Village's 22nd annual Ragamuffin Parade is Oct. 28 at 1 p.m., for children ages 9 and younger. It begins at Agawam Park and heads up Windmill Lane, Nugent Street, Main Street and Jobs Lane, back to the park. The Southampton Chamber of Commerce will award costume prizes donated by local merchants. After the parade, there will be trick-or-treating in the business district on the Pumpkin Trail. In the event of rain, the parade will be moved to the Southampton Inn ballroom.
BRIDGEHAMPTON CHILDREN'S HALLOWEEN PARADE
Hampton Library's annual parade for children of all ages and their families is Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. There will be treat-or-treating on Main Street after Halloween Story Time. Create a scary, funny or unique costume and bring your whole family.
TUCKAHOE SCHOOL HALLOWEEN PARADE
The Tuckahoe School will hold a parade on Halloween from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the bus loop in front of the school building.
MINI PUMPKIN PAINTING
For children ages 5 and up, Hampton Library hosts mini pumpkin painting on Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. Paint a traditional or a more eclectic design on your pumpkin, then take it home to enjoy.
SOUTHAMPTON YOUTH BUREAU HAUNTED PATH
Make your way through the Haunted Path at SYS in North Sea on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. and join in on some frightening fun and freaky food. Enjoy caramel apple making, arts & crafts and a costume parade.
TRICK-OR-TREAT
The Pumpkin Trail in Sag Harbor, Main Street, after school on Halloween — just look for the pumpkin faces in the windows of the participating businesses.
