Planned Parenthood Education Van Makes Hamptons Debut Friday

Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic will be at the Hayground Farmers Market.

Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic's new education and testing van, designed to promote reproductive and sexual health in Suffolk County, is headed to Bridgehampton Friday to visit the Hayground Farmers Market.

The 27-foot vehicle brings services to individuals who otherwise may not come to a Planning Parenthood health center, according to the organization. There is a clinician onboard the van, which offers birth control options, pregnancy tests, emergency contraception, condoms and testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.

On Friday, Planned Parenthood will offer tours of the van and meet and greets with clinical and education staff. Reina Schiffrin, the president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, will be on hand for the Hamptons debut.

The farmers market is from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Hayground School.
